20. Murchison River Lodge

“A rural inn that focusses on families. Located on the southern bank of the river, Murchison boasts a picturesque—though not particularly wild—spot, decking where guests can enjoy sunsets and a local traditional band gathering around the fire pit. All of the other alternatives are located farther out from the river, but the riverfront tents have the best locations on the riverbank. This Murchison hotel is great for those on a budget, but it isn’t what you’d expect from a traditional safari tent.

The thatch, timber, and stone structures that make up the social areas complement the landscape beautifully. One of these is a pub and restaurant with an open layout that leads out to a patio. As you dine on delicious food and drink, you can take in breathtaking views of the river and park. Every morning from quarter to six until seven, the restaurant serves an early-bird continental breakfast. From seven until ten, there is a cooked breakfast. From noon until two, customers can have lunch. In the evenings, from seven until nine, they provide a three-course dinner. The lodge’s charming Lion’s Den Craft Shop sells a wide variety of souvenirs and necessities. One pool is designated for infants and toddlers, while the other is open to anyone. Next to the pool lounge, you’ll find both of these amenities: a changing room with a shower, a toilet, washrooms, pool towels, and a mini-bar. Additionally, you may enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi here.
