2 DAY AFRICAN SAFARI TOUR – Maasai Mara National Preserve KENYA

A total of 1,510 square kilometers make up Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. One of the best wildlife sites in Africa, this enormous protected terrain serves as Kenya’s premier conservation reserve. Together, they make up the Serengeti-Mara habitat, which has fenceless borders with a number of private conservancies and Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The absence of fences enables the great migration, one of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles, to occur unhindered. The area’s Maasai inhabitants and the Mara River, which traverses this vast reserve, inspired the name “Masai Mara.” No Masai Mara safari would be complete without encountering the Maasai people in addition to the diverse wildlife in the reserve.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park

A relaxing breakfast while watching the river is enjoyed in the early morning hours before your guide drives you by road to the Keekorok Airstrip where you will connect with your light aircraft transport to the Kogatende Airstrip.

Day 5 – 8: Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Before beginning your afternoon wildlife drive in the Serengeti National Park, settle into your luxury tent suite. Getting back to your accommodation in time to have dinner and then go to bed.

The Serengeti’s plains literally seem to never end, breaking up only by strange rock formations in the distance. The vast Serengeti ecosystem includes the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve, the Loliondo, Grumeti, and Ikorongo Controlled Areas, as well as the Maasai Mara National Reserve in neighboring Kenya. It spans an almost continuous wildlife area of over 30,000 square kilometers.

The Big Five live there, together with more than 70 other smaller mammal species, over 540 resident and migratory bird species, and it is a world heritage site.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park to Zanzibar

Enjoy your final safari breakfast today before being picked up from your hotel and driven to Kogatende Airstrip in time for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. You will be welcomed upon arrival and driven to your beach resort along Zanzibar’s Bwejuu-Paje beach.

The spice island of Zanzibar previously provided the majority of the world’s clove production. This historic Arab isle was governed by the sultans of Oman. The rich, heavy odors of cinnamon and cloves are still permeating the islands. There is still a sense of the richness of this time. Pirates and explorers saw it as a gateway to the interior of Africa.

Day 8 – 11: Zanzibar

Zanzibar – things you should know before travelling

Baraza is Zanzibar’s most upscale boutique hotel and is situated along the Bwejuu-Paje beach, which was rated one of the top 30 island beaches in the world by the esteemed Condé Nast Traveler publication. The five-star Baraza Resort and Spa was chosen by Condé Nast Traveler, a renowned international travel publication, as one of the 60 greatest new hotels in the world. This exquisite all-inclusive resort, which has just 30 villas, is reminiscent of Zanzibar’s past during the Sultanate era. Baraza offers unmatched standards of luxury on the Island of Zanzibar. It is a combination of Arabic, Swahili, and Indian design, with Swahili arches, complex hand-carved cement décor, gorgeous antiques, handmade furniture, and intricate brass lanterns.

The “spice island” of Zanzibar is a wonderful site from which to enjoy the Indian Ocean’s crystal-clear turquoise waters. It is situated 26 miles off the coast of Tanzania. This makes Stone Town, where the history of the slave trade is vividly brought to life, the ideal companion to your African safari experience.

Day 11: Departure

Enjoy breakfast and some free time while gazing out at the Indian Ocean before being driven to the airport in Zanzibar. As you arrive at the airport in Zanzibar, you tell the resort member adieu before boarding your international flight home.

Wishing you a safe journey!
