All-inclusive African Beach Resorts, Beach Hotels & Villas

The All-inclusive African Beach Resorts, Beach Hotels & Villas for adults only, couples and families.

African continent. Not everyone who graduates from dental school has an insatiable hunger to kill helpless animals. Also, you may find some of the world’s most breathtaking five-star beach resorts there. After waking up at 5 in the morning every day to watch a lion sleep, you might prefer to lay on a beach instead of thinking about animals as the major attraction. Here are a few of my fave beach resorts in Africa; my ideal vacation would include a safari with a visit to the beach.

Africa is home to diverse species, breathtaking landscapes, and some of the world’s most exquisite and unspoiled beaches. Africa provides beach resorts that accommodate many preferences, whether one desires luxury, adventure, or tranquilly. Here are some of the premier beach resorts throughout the continent for your upcoming retreat.

Luxury African Beach Resorts

South Africa. Not all newly graduated dentists with a voracious appetite for killing helpless animals end up there. It is also the site of some of the world’s most spectacular five-star beach resorts. While lounging on a beach may not be your first thought when wildlife is the major attraction, it’s likely that you’ll want to do it after waking up at 5 am every day to watch a lion sleep. Here are a few of my fave beach resorts in Africa; my ideal vacation would include a safari with a visit to the beach.

All-inclusive African Beach Resorts

1. North Island, Seychelles

Its transformation into a Marriott effectively put it out of commission, but hey, it’s in a superhero movie, so anything can happen. The alluring island remains, but it might use a change of character—preferably not one that is more dirtier and darker. Maybe we should do Horrible Bosses 3 as a romantic comedy. There are just eleven villas, so it’s very private and veers towards a rustic charm that manages to be authentic without coming off as cheap (well, except for the terrible outdoor restrooms and inadequate air conditioning, of course). Even without the animals, beaches, and seclusion, I would go back for that pool alone. As if there were enough of things to do here, but not enough time in the day.

Getting rid of Marriott, replacing them with a competent manager, and renovating the rooms will put you on the right track. I still consider this island to be among my favourites, but the resort isn’t as special as it once was.

Fregate, Seychelles

Similar to North Island, Fregate reaped the benefits of over twenty years of uncontested market share. In the same vein as North Island, they discarded management firms after making irrational moves, such as hiring Oetker. But unlike North Island, they came to terms with the fact that they weren’t top-notch anymore; as a result, they closed down last year to undergo one of the most massive rebuilds I’ve ever witnessed; they want to reopen in 2025. Something truly remarkable appears to be taking shape. The island already has amazing beaches and fauna, and now it appears that the lodging will be just as good. As one of the world’s top properties, Fregate is bound to make a triumphant return.

1. Miavana, Madagascar

Among these properties, you might be surprised to find one that I previously deemed to have a worse debut than Quibi. Still, a lot has changed in the six years since then. The 14 villas were exceptional, the service was first-rate, the cuisine was delicious, the location was picture-perfect (except from the fact that they falsely claim to be an island; I’m sure they’ve learnt their lesson), and the presence of lemurs and whales added an extra magical touch. They may have even found a way to make it entertaining. Air conditioning is still necessary, though.

Kisawa, Mozambique

The fresh face in town. Even though I had my doubts and thought it would fail due to its PR campaign, Kisawa managed to pull it off. If you visit a new property too soon, it will be awful; if you visit too late, other travel agents will take off their glasses and stare at you in contempt. Since Kisawa had already established themselves in their grove and were providing excellent service and cuisine, in addition to thrilling activities and great lodging, I felt like I had timed my visit perfectly. I suppose I’ll have to return at some point, even though I went too early for whale season…

Sirai Beach, Kenya

Although it is not technically a beach, I will mention it nevertheless due to its misleading name. Located in Kilifi, Sirai Beach is a six-bedroom private property with exclusive use. Make a mental note: not on the beach, but by the coast. However, as you savour the plenty of luxury, it all seems to go. After a day of munching on safari, your family or company will be able to relax in style with your very own tennis court, spa, media area, and an abundance of eating options. I spent every day in the pool once I figured out how to escape the enormous master suite, which might have crossed time zones. Water temperatures were well above 32C, despite the lack of heat.

Thanda Island, Tanzania

Among the world’s most prestigious private islands, Thanda Island has been named Best in Show Time and Time Again by the World Travel Awards since its 2016 opening. The island is also a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
The villa is accessible on a private, key basis and features five cosy suites with air conditioning and direct beach access; the total number of people who can stay there is ten, and there are extra beds for youngsters. Additionally, the island has two beach cottages, or traditional Tanzanian bandas, that are available for your private use.
