Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

A wildlife safari often starts at 6:30 in the morning, so be sure to get up early. If you want to view a wide range of mammals, including some that are very uncommon, the best time to go on a game drive is first thing in the morning. The Kasenyi plains, located east of the Kasese road, are famous as a habitat for lions, who hunt on the abundant Uganda Kobs that live there.

You should definitely go see the lions and the other 95 animal species that call this park home. Among the animals that call this place home are hyenas, leopards, waterbucks, warthogs, elephants, and Uganda kobs.
Before setting out on your leisurely boat ride along the world-famous Kazinga channel, have a little lunch break and retire to Mweya jetty.

The best way to take it easy while seeing animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park is on an afternoon launch trip down the Kazinga channel. Between Lake George and Lake Edward, there is a creek known as the Kazinga channel, which is forty kilometers long.

Hippos, buffalo, waterfowl, crocodiles, monitor lizards, Marabou storks, weaver birds, and fish eagle pairs are just a few of the animals that populate the channel shores.

Accommodation:
Luxury: Mweya Safari Lodge
Midrange: Buffalo safari Lodge
Budget: Pumba Safari cottages

Day 4: Transfer to the southern Ishasha sector with a game drive through Kasenyi Sector.

Tree Climbing Lions Of Ishasha Uganda | Queen Elizabeth National Park

After you’ve had a hearty breakfast, make your way south to the Ishasha Sector. You’ll get to see plenty of wildlife while you drive, and you’ll have to bring your own food since you’ll have to stop for a real safari picnic lunch.

Hyenas, buffalo, Uganda kos, leopards, elephants, and the mysterious forest hog are just a few of the species that you should keep an eye out for. You should rest, eat dinner, and spend the night in your lodging after you get to Ishasha.

Accommodation:

Luxury: Ishasha wilderness camp
Midrange: Ishasha jungle Lodge
Budget: Enjojo Lodge

Day 5: Game drive and tree-climbing lions experience. Afternoon transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Your game drive across the Ishasha Sector will resume after breakfast with your driver guide.
Aside from Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park, Ishasha is one of just two locations on Earth where tree-climbing lions can be seen. Although any lion can climb a tree, only these two prides are known to do it frequently.

You have a 50/50 chance of seeing tree-climbing lions, but if you book an experience that includes the park’s tracking system and a professional tracker, we’ll make sure you see them.

Among the many unique wildlife species present in this national park, the Ishasha population includes a large number of topis. Hippos and grey-crowned cranes are both possible sightings along the Ishasha River.

Before making the short journey to the completely different ecology of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is only around 150km away, enjoy lunch at the lodge. In Bwindi, you can choose between the Buhoma or Ruhija regions for your dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation:

Luxury: Ruhija gorilla safari lodge / Buhoma Lodge
Midrange: Bakiga Lodge / Bwindi Haven
Budget: Broadbill forest camp / Crested crane hotel

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Batwa Pygimies tour.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park | The Ultimate Guide to Gorilla Trekking

After a briefing from UWA authorities and breakfast in the morning, we left out for the gorilla tracking.
An incredible adventure and once in a lifetime experience. In order to begin your quest for the endangered Mountain Gorillas, the ranger guides will lead you into the dense forest.

As you make your way across the rough landscape, you’ll eventually come face to face with these symbiotic animals, who will delight you with their performances for almost an hour.

Since the gorillas’ movements cannot be predicted in advance, the activity can take anything from two to seven hours. We are witnessing an incredible and thrilling moment.

Along the way, you can see a wide variety of birds, reptiles, plants, and primates, including monkeys, baboons, and many more.

You should make the most of your time with them when you do meet; document their daily lives as much as possible through photography, conversation, and learning about their customs. Just like humans, you may watch them feed, defend themselves, and most significantly, observe the bondage within their families.

Leave the rainforests and return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation after an hour.

Visit the Batwa pygmies, sometimes known as “the forest people,” after lunch. Although the Batwa people have lived in these woods for generations, they are now relegated to the periphery due to the Bwindi Forest’s designation as a national park in the early 1990s.

Many participants in this cultural tour still remember their lives as forest dwellers, and the excursions provide a means for them to make a living, keep their traditions alive, and pass them on to future generations. Despite their diminutive stature, they astonish with their bush abilities, craftsmanship, artistry, and traditional performances.

Enjoy supper and a night’s rest in your rustic lodge.

Day 7: Return to Kampala /Entebbe. Departure.

You will depart from the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, known for its verdant vegetation and pleasant environment, after breakfast and before your transfer back to Kampala. Stop for lunch at the Igongo Country Hotel, located 12 kilometers beyond Mbarara town, on the way to Kampala from Kabale and Mbarara. Stop at the Equator Monument again after lunch, and then keep on until you reach Kampala in the evening.
