The majority of our clients select their own trip dates to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (at an additional expense), but most ask us to make their climbs available to others so they can have company on the trek.

You won’t have to worry about crowds if you choose to join a group. Our climbs are limited to 10 to 15 trekkers, unless by special request and agreement so that the guide can carefully check everyone’s health, make sure all their requirements are being fulfilled, and so that everyone has the opportunity to chat with the guide about anything that’s on their mind.

Climbing Kilimanjaro with The Kilimanjaro Trekking Services Co. Scheduled Kilimanjaro tours with dates and costs are below. There is no requirement for you to trek on the dates listed below. We release them exclusively for hikers who are interested in climbing with strangers.

Most of our Kilimanjaro climbers choose their own dates (for an extra fee), but the vast majority of them also want us to open their climbs up to others so they can have more company.

No need to fear throngs if you opt to be a part of a group. To make sure the guide can keep an eye on everyone’s progress, meet everyone’s requirements, and give everyone an opportunity to talk to the guide about anything, we limit our hikes to 10 to 15 trekkers unless otherwise agreed upon.

Our Kilimanjaro Climbing Tour Packages include the following:

• Complimentary meet and greet on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport
• On arrival & one departure private transfer per group between Kilimanjaro Airport and your hotel in a private vehicle with a driver
• Breakfast and dinner are included on the first and last night at the hotel
• Arusha Hotel accommodation – 2 Nights’ shared, 5-star accommodation at the Mt Meru Hotel in Arusha town
• Hotel accommodation includes storage facilities for excess luggage during hikes
• Return transfers between the hotel to the start/finish point of a climb
• All Kilimanjaro National Park gate fees, camping/hut fees, and climbing permits
• Kilimanjaro National Park rescue fees (Kilimanjaro Rescue Team)
• The chief guide carries a Pulse Oximeter, used to take blood-oxygen level readings of clients twice a day

• Compulsory tips for guides, porters, and cooks (average tip is anything from US$250 to US$ 350 per hiker – depending on the number of days and number of hikers in the group, as well as the route chosen)
• Entry visa for Tanzania (US$50 per passport holder for most nationalities / US $ 100 per visa for USA passport holders)
• Vaccination requirements (Yellow Fever – only compulsory if you travel to Tanzania via a Yellow Fever infected country,

What to expect on Kilimanjaro?

On Kilimanjaro, a normal day starts bright and early, between 6:30 and 7:00 in the morning. Upon your arrival, our porters will bring you a freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea and bring it directly to your tent. Our crew will have heated water available at the campground so you can wash up and brush your teeth in the morning, and then you’ll have time to get ready for the day.

Your host will extend an invitation to breakfast sometime between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning. After refueling, the journey to the next camp starts. The typical travel time for this route is four to six hours. To make sure lunch is ready for you when you get to camp, our support staff will go ahead of you.

Following lunch and some downtime, your guides may recommend an acclimatization hike—a gentle, hour-long stroll meant to assist your body in adjusting to the higher elevation. You should definitely sign up, because these drills are essential for getting ready for the hardest task of all: climbing to the peak.

You will have some free time after the acclimatization hike before dinner, which is scheduled for around 7:00, is served. Enjoy the evening at your leisure, chatting with other climbers and taking in the stunning scenery. To make sure everyone is adjusting properly, a health check is required before bedtime. Around nine or ten o’clock at night, the lights go out.

Except for the night before the summit attempt, this is the regimen that is followed nearly every day.
