A Complete Great Apes And River Rafting Uganda Itinerary

Day 1:

You will travel from Kigali to the picturesque Lake Mutanda, where you will have lunch and engage in pack-rafting to your lodging. We collaborate with various accommodations, according to your financial constraints. Each of them is exquisite. This lake is entirely safe for swimming. You will savour the sunset with a beverage and ready yourself for the early morning.

Day 2:

The magnificent Sabynyo volcano, situated on the border of Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda, offers a breathtaking 7-hour walk. Not suitable for the faint-hearted, as the staircases are steep and may occasionally be treacherous. The landscape is stunning, and this walk will be unforgettable.

Alternatively, one may observe the Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its abundant biodiversity and as the habitat of the Mountain Gorillas. Commence the day early for an indelible experience in Mountain Gorilla Trekking. Trek through the verdant, deep forest while seeking one of the gorilla families residing in the park.

Day 3:

Today, you will go to Rukungiri, enjoy lunch, and embark on a tough yet enjoyable 2-3 hour climb to a picturesque waterfall. Embark on a walk adjacent to a river, via a banana plantation and crossing multiple waterfalls where you can bathe. If you are fond of dogs, ours are always eager to accompany you on this walk!

Day 4:

This could well be the pinnacle of your holiday adventure. Overnight rafting expedition from Rukungiri to Queen Elizabeth National Park! Engaging in rafting throughout the day on our inflatable boats amidst the jungle. You will see breathtaking vistas of the jungle, numerous interactions with tropical avifauna and indigenous tribes, as well as exhilarating rapids. Subsequently, you will establish a campsite and rest beside the river, gazing at the sky following a lunch prepared over firewood.

Day 5:

On the second day of this overnight excursion, you will get the opportunity to navigate the picturesque Birira River in your own pack-raft, as the rapids are less intense in this section of the river. Day 7:

Rise early for a dawn game drive in the park, where you will have the opportunity to observe diverse animals, including African elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and other species of antelope. One may observe the elusive carnivores as they return from their nocturnal foraging. Day 8:

Rise early to observe the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, followed by lunch and a period of relaxation at the lodge, during which you may read or take a stroll.

Day 9:

Following breakfast, commence your travel to the Nile in Jinja, where you will be deposited at the guesthouse in the evening. This constitutes an entire day of travel, resulting in fatigue and necessitating relaxation at the resort.

Day 10:
