Day 7: Tarangire National Park

Elephants and the Baobab Trees of Tarangire

An exhilarating adventure awaits visitors to northern Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, where they may observe wildlife and nature in one of the most beautiful and varied settings in the nation.

Morning: Game Drive and Elephant Sightings

  • The day usually begins with the break of dawn, when the animals are at their most active. Stunning acacia forests and ancient baobab trees dot the park’s terrain, making for a picture-perfect setting as you set out on a morning wildlife drive.
  • For its enormous elephant population, Tarangire National Park is famous. The greatest time to watch these magnificent animals is first thing in the morning, when the herds congregate along the Tarangire River or wander over the grasslands.
  • In addition to elephants, you might see giraffes, waterbucks, and a variety of birds, such as the huge ground hornbill and the brilliant lilac-breasted roller.

Midday: Picnic and Relaxation

  • As the sun begins to set, you may cool off with a picnic lunch in one of the park’s approved spots, which typically offer views of the river or a landscape rich with animals.
  • As the animals seek refuge from the midday sun, this is an ideal time to relax, maybe in a lodge or a shady area in the park.

Afternoon: Further Exploration and Predator Sightings

  • Another game drive will take you through different sections of the park as the day cools down. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards, among other predators, become more active in the late afternoon and evening, making this a perfect time to see them.
  • Many different kinds of animals call the park home, thanks to its varied ecosystems. Smaller creatures such as mongooses, dik-diks, and warthogs may be visible, in addition to larger herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebras.

Evening: Sunset and Reflection

  • As the sun goes down, the sky typically turns a kaleidoscope of orange and crimson, setting the mood for a contemplative evening.
  • A tranquil yet exciting way to end a day in Tarangire is with an evening wildlife drive or some downtime at a resort or campsite, where you can listen to the sounds of the African wilderness.

Experience the perfect blend of tranquillity and adventure on a safari through Tarangire National Park, where you may wander through a region teeming with species and breathtaking scenery.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park to Arusha

Spend one last day in Tarangire National Park, home to elephant herds and enormous baobab trees. As you go on wildlife drives, take in the breathtaking scenery of the riverbeds and rolling hills. The last leg of your safari is a flight back to Arusha, capping off an unforgettable adventure.
