A Detailed 14-Day Great Migration And Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Day 1: Arrival – Arusha

After you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver will be waiting to take you to the African Tulip Hotel in Arusha, where you can have supper and spend the night. Prepare to begin your safari proper in the morning by settling into your lodging.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins at Tarangire National Park, which you will reach by vehicle after breakfast. The world’s biggest densities of elephants and the highest number of breeding bird species are both found in this beautiful park. Wildlife abounds in Tarangire National Park, particularly during the dry season. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other large cats; additionally, the rarely observed Kudu, Oryx, and Gerenuk. The tree-climbing python may even be visible if you’re very fortunate. Your night game drive will begin after dinner at the Tarangire Safari Lodge and last for two hours. During this time, you will search for species that are only visible at night, such as aardvarks, porcupines bush babies, and others. Get back to Tarangire Safari Lodge and spend the night inside.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

A walking tour of the rural community of Mto wa Mbu will begin today after breakfast. Over 120 distinct African tribes call this Tanzanian hamlet home, creating a vibrant linguistic and cultural mosaic. Along the way, you’ll see a carving factory, a school, a local brewery, banana and rice plantations, and more. Learn about the locals’ long-established customs. Just a short drive away from Mto wa Mbu is Lake Manyara National Park, so you can keep on going there. Huge soda lake teeming with pink-hued flamingos, baboons, amazing birdlife, and stunning views—that is Lake Manyara. The wildlife includes flamingos, zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, buffalo, and, if you’re fortunate, a lion that climbs trees. Proceed to the Manyara wildlife camp in the late afternoon to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will embark on a breathtaking wildlife drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. It provides a safe haven for around 30,000 creatures, such as the Big Five. Elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, zebras, buffaloes, lions, and a small group of black rhinos inhabit the crater. As the clouds dance and the colours burst, the crater takes on an otherworldly quality. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the seven natural wonders of Africa, selected for its breathtaking magnificence. Proceed to the Ngorongoro Sopa resort in the late afternoon to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 5: Ndutu area

Go on an adventure today to one of the places where you can see more wildlife in its natural habitat when it’s green. When the Great Migration arrives in Ndutu in December and stays until April, it will graze and give birth in the area between South Serengeti and North West Ngorongoro. Because of the minerals present, the grass in this small grassland region is very nutritious. Observing the annual clockwise migration of all those hoofed mammals, followed by iconic carnivores, is an incredible experience. There is some stunning native species that calls the woods surrounding Lake Ndutu home. Before turning in for the night, make your way back to Serengeti Ang’ata camp for dinner.

Day 6: Ndutu area

Get up early and hit the road, following the herds as they traverse the plains in search of the Great Migration. If you want to watch cheetahs and lions hunting, you should go to Ndutu, one of the few parks that allows off-road game drives. Leopards, lions, cheetahs, caracals, servals, and African wildcats all make this area their permanent home. A wide variety of other creatures, such as giraffes, elephants, warthogs, and hyenas, are also seen. The Serengeti Ang’ata camp will be your home base for the night after your afternoon wildlife drive.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

Take in the breathtaking scenery of vast grasslands teeming with exotic animals and birds of paradise, including cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostriches, warthogs, aardvarks, pangolins, and countless more. The Serengeti is home to more huge animals than any other park on Earth. Take an afternoon game drive to see all this breathtaking scenery. The Serengeti Sopa resort will serve as our dining and sleeping quarters for the day.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park

In the breathtaking Serengeti National Park, you may go on a morning and afternoon wildlife drive and witness the swarms of over a million wildebeest and zebras, the sound of kicking dust, and the dawn hunts of lions. One of the most spectacular natural attractions in all of Africa is this animal sanctuary. As you listen to the distant trumpeting of elephants, take in the endless plains, awe-inspiring sunsets, and an abundance of exotic species. The Serengeti Sopa resort will serve as our dining and sleeping quarters for the day.

Day 9: Serengeti – Zanzibar

Before your morning flight to Zanzibar, your driver will take you to Seronera Airstrip. A driver will be waiting for you when you land in Zanzibar Airport. He will then take you to the Next Paradise Boutique Resort, where you may have dinner and spend the night in a bungalow right on the beach. Nestled on a white sand, palm-fringed beach with views of the Indian Ocean, this resort is shielded by a coral reef.

Day 10 and 11: Zanzibar

You are welcome to take it easy or go sightseeing today. Soak in the Indian Ocean to relax after your safari. Spend some time lounging on the beach or getting active in the pristine blue waters by surfing, sailing, snorkelling, or scuba diving. Immerse yourself in the aquatic life of the reef and marvel at the beautiful reef fish, rays, barracudas, octopus, zebrafish, Moorish idols, lionfish, and countless other species. Alternatively, you might ride in a traditional sailing boat towards the golden sunset in the hopes of spotting dolphin pods. There is a vast array of things to do on Zanzibar. The next paradise boutique resort will be our home for the night and all of our meals.

Day 12: Zanzibar

The last remaining native forest on Zanzibar, Jozani boasts magnificent mangroves and is the destination of today’s drive. Rare red colobus monkeys and other monkey species, as well as trees and plants, are on display here. Your journey continues when you reach Stone Town, the island’s historic centre. It is a delight to wander through its intriguing maze of winding alleys and streets. Learn about the beautiful gardens, cathedrals, tasty eateries, and architectural treasures. On a cultural trip, you can see several fascinating sites, such as the Slave Market, Sultan’s Palace, Darajani market, and the House of Wonders. Stone Town is unlike any other town in the world because of the unique blend of Arab, Persian, Indian, and European influences. After your meal, head back to the Next Paradise Boutique Resort for the night.

Day 13: Zanzibar

You are welcome to take it easy or go sightseeing today. Staying at the Next Paradise Boutique Resort for both dinner and overnight is included.

Day 14: Departure

You have the morning and part of the afternoon to do what you want: rest or go exploring. Afternoon transportation will be provided to Zanzibar Airport, from where you will board a flight to Dar es Salaam, your final destination.
