Detailed Itinerary: Grumeti River Migration Crossing Safari

Day 1: On arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport

You will be welcomed by our agent when you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, and you will then be driven to your hotel in Arusha for the night. You will receive a briefing for your planned Grumeti River Migration Crossing safari.

Day 2: Transfer to Grumeti region of Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport in Arusha where your scheduled flight to Grumeti Airstrip will depart from. You’ll arrive in plenty of time for your lunchtime land transport to your camp in the Western Corridor. You will leave for an afternoon game drive after lunch, followed by dinner and the night.

Day 3 – 5: Game Drives and relaxation

The Great Migration at Grumeti Camp

You will keep exploring the Grumeti area, paying particular attention to the dramatic river crossing in the Grumeti River. More morning and evening wildlife excursions are planned for you, and on request, you are welcome to unwind at the lodge.

Day 6 – 9: Transfer to Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, you will travel to the Northern Serengeti in the direction of the Mara River, stopping along the way for a wildlife drive. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. The following four evenings will be spent watching the wildebeest migration herds cross the river here.

Day 10: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport

After breakfast, you’ll be taken to the Kogatende airport for your scheduled flight back to Arusha, where you’ll be taken to the Kilimanjaro international airport for your travel home.
