9-Day Kenya Safari | Ol Pejeta, Masai Mara, & Naboisho

Take advantage of our All Kabira safari deal to uncover the undiscovered wildlife gems of Kenya’s world-renowned safari circuit. Experience once-in-a-lifetime adventures as you freely navigate between these breathtaking settings.

Starting in the bustling capital of Nairobi, this exciting safari journey through Kenya will take you to the Masai Mara, the Ol Pejeta National Park, and the Naboisho Conservancy, among other breathtaking locations.

While you’re recuperating from your foreign travels, you can start your journey in Nairobi, a city rich in history and culture. The next stop should be to Ol Pejeta, a wildlife refuge nestled in the foothills of Mount Kenya, where you have a chance to see the world’s only two northern white rhinos. Take part in walking safaris, night safaris, and wildlife drives.

Continue your 9-Day Kenya Safari journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve, a safari hotspot that deserves its reputation as one of the most popular in Africa. In the middle of the reserve, on the banks of the Talek River, lies Rekero Camp—the ideal site to stay if you want to see the elephants, giraffes, big cats, and other animals that call this area home. Overlooking one of the river crossing places, Rekero provides breathtaking views without leaving the camp, and in August and September, you should be able to spot the Great Migration herds in the reserve.

Relax at the five-star Naboisho Camp before calling it a night in the Naboisho Conservancy, which is adjacent to the Masai Mara. Join a knowledgeable guide on day and night safaris, walking safaris, cultural excursions to the local Maasai community, and explorations of the valleys, plains, and woodlands. Because the conservancy restricts the number of sites and cars, visitors may enjoy a private and pristine safari.

Use this time to unwind, recharge, and get back on your feet after your flight. We can plan a trip to the Giraffe Centre or a safari in Nairobi National Park if there’s enough time. There is a diverse selection of eateries and gift shops to peruse throughout the city.

Day 2-3: Ol Pejeta: Conservation, Comfort, and Charm

Drive to Laikipia
Overnight at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp

Following a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, you and your guide will hit the road for about five hours, passing flower fields and lively market towns. In the heart of Laikipia, at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, you’ll find a delicious lunch waiting for you. Mount Kenya, with its majestic snow-capped summits, provides a breathtaking backdrop to this wildlife refuge.

Game drives at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp can include spotting lions, buffalo, elephants, white rhinos, and black rhinos; adding night drives to your itinerary will take your excursions to the next level. You will also have the opportunity to meet the world’s only two northern white rhinos and tour an area dedicated to endangered animals. Learn about the incredible efforts being made to preserve this species and others like it from extinction from the rangers.

There is a family-friendly tent among Ol Pejeta’s eight options. A private bathroom with a flush toilet and flowing hot water is available in each tent. Come join us around the fireplace as night falls after an exhilarating day of adventuring. Sip a refreshing drink and listen to the distant roar of the lion in the conservancy.

Day 4-5: Experience the Great Migration at Rekero

Flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve
Overnight at Rekero Camp

You will be taken to the nearest airport for a flight to Rekero Camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve after a delicious breakfast. Upon arrival, a knowledgeable Kabira Safari guide will transport you to Rekero Camp, situated high above the Talek River, providing breathtaking views of a key location for the Great Migration. Guests of this lovely camp will be able to take in the abundant wildlife of the Masai Mara at any time of year. There are a total of nine large, traditional safari tents, two of which are ideal for families, set out along the riverbank. There is a hot water shower, flush toilet and private bathroom in each tent.

Throughout the day, you can relax on the terrace or couch while watching the hippos play in the river. Enjoy a bush breakfast either in camp or on the go on your two daily game drives. An early morning hot-air balloon ride can be scheduled for an extra fee to spice up your experiences. An incredible journey awaits you as you observe the stunning fauna and flora from above.

Enjoy a nap after lunch, curl up with a good book, and take in the scenery from the comfort of your tent or the deck area of the camp. After that, fuel up on tea and cake before setting off on an exhilarating afternoon drive with a variety of sundowner cocktails. Relax with some beverages and a hearty dinner by the campfire when you get back.

Day 6-8: Naboisho Camp: Where Nature Meets Comfort

Transfer to the Naboisho Conservancy
Overnight at Naboisho Camp

Awaken to the sound of birdsong and the friendly zebra’s barks, snorts, and brays. Before saying goodbye to the crew, have a hearty breakfast on the balcony while gazing out over the Talek River.

The Naboisho Conservancy’s Naboisho Camp is the next stop on your wildlife drive. During your tour, you will hear about the conservancies’ one-of-a-kind approach to conservation, which has allowed local communities and wildlife to coexist together. Aside from its many activities, Naboisho is a great place to see wildlife. You may go on walking safaris or visit a Maasai village or Asilia’s partner, the Maa Trust.

Renovated in 2023, Naboisho is a nine-tent boutique camp with king-size or twin beds, huge en suite bathrooms, hot showers both inside and out, and flush toilets. Each tent has its own veranda where you may unwind, have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, and take in the serene views of the savannah. It is a picturesque campground perfect for nature lovers. The region has one of the greatest densities of lions in Africa, in addition to cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes.
