Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following a substantial morning repast, we shall commence an invigorating expedition to Queen Elizabeth National Park, situated in the vicinity of Mt. Rwenzori. We will make multiple pauses for lunch at Fort Portal, moments of respite, and to appreciate the stunning surroundings. We will engage with the Rwenzori people to partake in tree planting initiatives, so contributing to conservation efforts. We complete our day by checking into our selected accommodation: Jacana Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge, or Ihamba Safari Lodge. Here, you may unwind, relish meals, and prepare for the evening.

Day 2: Wildlife Exploration – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a delectable breakfast, we will commence our day with a morning game drive. Anticipate the presence of early risers such as Bushbucks, Hyenas, Elephants, Bush Pigs, Lions (including the renowned climbing lions), Buffaloes, and Jackals. Following the exhilarating trip, we shall return to our resort for lunch and much-needed repose. In the afternoon, we will have an amazing two-hour boat excursion over the Kazinga Channel. Throughout this Lion Research & Conservation expedition, we will observe several hippos, buffalo, and elephants along the shoreline, as well as more than 60 avian species.
