Everything we do is customised to fit your interests.
Savour private meals on the riverbank with the soft light of lanterns, and marvel at the night sky from the warmth of your tent. Kokoko Camp is small and exclusive, so guests have a one-of-a-kind experience, and the natural setting is pristine and beautiful because of it.
Each activity is thoughtfully crafted to elevate both your encounter with nature and the environment around you. The camp’s minimalist design draws attention away from itself so that nature can shine. Everything about this place is meant to bring you closer to nature. From the delectable meals that are cooked over an open fire and eaten outdoors whenever possible to the retractable canvas roof that lets you sleep under the stars with nothing but a clear protective covering, it’s all about elevating the natural world around you.

Among the best places to go to see thrilling wildlife viewing is the camp, which is situated in Ruaha National Park. Animals congregate around waterholes that elephants built earlier in the day, as predators lie in wait, calmly waiting to ambush their victims. In order to make the most of the walking opportunities that Ruaha National Park offers, Kokoko Camp only opens during the dry season months. They provide some of the greatest walking safaris in Africa.
Best time to visit Kokoko Camp
Visit Kokoko Camp June to November
June – September
High: 28°C / 82°F
Low: 17°C / 63°F
Rainfall: 70MM / 0.8IN
As Ruaha National Park enters its dry season in June, the camp opens. During the dry months, the expansive and wild wilderness shimmers with heat. Because there is less foliage and animals are more predictable in their movements due to the scarcity of water sources, this is the ideal time to go game viewing. When visiting Africa in the months of August and September, make sure to go on a walking safari.
October – January
High: 27°C / 81°F
Low: 15°C / 59°F
Rainfall: 72.5MM / 2.85IN
October is the apex of the dry season, making it the perfect time for walking safaris and wildlife drives. Since there isn’t enough water for the animals to disperse, these conditions persist throughout November, even after the first of the brief showers have fallen. Kokoko Camp closes for the season at the tail end of November as the season of brief rains approaches; it reopens in June.
February – May
High: 25.5°C / 78°F
Low: 12°C / 53°F
Rainfall: 205MM / 8.08IN
Safari operations remain closed, reopening in June.
