Detailed Itinerary: 5 Days Nyerere National Park Safari
Day 1: Start of your Safari from Dar es Salaam
At 8 am, your driver-guide departs from your hotel to begin the safari with a beautiful drive to Nyerere National Park. (5. 5 hours for the drive). Your own personal Safari car will be waiting for you. After a relaxing meal, check into your hotel for the night in Nyerere. At 3.30 p.m., your afternoon game drive will begin, allowing you to see some of the incredible species in the park, including Rhinos, Elephants, and Wildebeest in addition to Big Cats like Lion, Leopard, and Cheetah. By 6.30 p.m., return to your camp.
Day 2: Start the day with an early morning game drive in Nyerere
Nyerere National Park Tanzania
You will be taken on two game drives today, one from 6.15am to 9am before breakfast and the other from 3.30pm to 6.30pm in the late afternoon following lunch. The ideal times to see animals at their most active are generally early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Your game drive timings are flexible because your safari is private, which is convenient if you’re traveling with kids or on your honeymoon and might wish to sleep in later on some days. For no additional charge, you can also decide to go on a full-day game drive that includes a picnic lunch. After dinner, return to the camp to spend the night.
Day 3: Enjoy Full day in Nyerere National Park
A full day of game drives in Nyerere National Park are included. You could choose to extend your safari with a walking safari or a boat safari [at an additional cost; please inquire with us]. By sunset, return to your camp.
Day 4: Enjoy Full day in Nyerere National Park
You can opt to go on a morning and an afternoon game drive or even spend the entire day in the reserve going on a game adventure with a picnic lunch that you’ll have at Tagalala (the heart of the Selous) while discovering the hot springs. After dinner, return to the camp to spend the night.
Day 5: Return to Dar es Salaam
You leave for your final game drive in Nyerere National Park at the crack of dawn, followed by a leisurely breakfast. For a return road transfer to Dar es Salaam, check out by 10am. Arrive in Dar es Salaam before midday, usually by 3pm. Drop-off at your hotel or a free subsequent shuttle will take you to the airport in time for your departure home.
