Masai Mara And Lake Nakuru Safari: A Friendly Itinerary Guide

Masai Mara And Lake Nakuru Safari: A Friendly Itinerary Guide. This 5 Days Masai Mara And Lake Nakuru Safari is Joining Group Tour (6PAX MAX). This Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari from Nairobi is best for Wildebeest Migration.

The 5 Days Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari. Have you ever seen the film The Lion King? Imagine it coming to life and you being a part of it. This 5 Days Masai Mara Migration Safari is not your typical African vacation. People from all over the world travel to Kenya to witness this magnificent spectacle. Indeed, an experience that will live on in perpetuity, a story that only grows in value the more you tell it. Migration is an ongoing movement of animals that occurs all year. The migration takes place in an area known as the “Serengeti ecosystem.” Masai Mara National Reserve in the north and Ndutu, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Maswa Game Reserve in Tanzania in the south define the 40,000-square-mile area.

The migration is not a one-time occurrence. Instead, it refers to the constant movement of over 1.5 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, elands, and gazelles. The purpose of the movement, like that of other wildlife, is to find pasture and water.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Reserve

Kenya Safari – First time in Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Nakuru, where you will check-in at Lake Nakuru Lodge around lunchtime. You will go on a game drive in the afternoon. During the dry season, Lake Nakuru is famous for its large population of Flamingos. The park also has Kenya’s largest rhino population. At an elevation of 1754 meters above sea level, Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. It is located south of Nakuru in Kenya’s rift valley and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The abundance of algae in the lake used to attract a large number of flamingos, who famously lined the shore. Other birds, as well as warthogs, baboons, and other large mammals, thrive in the area. There have also been introductions of eastern black rhinos and southern white rhinos.

The lake’s level dropped dramatically in the early 1990s but has since recovered significantly. The lake experienced an alarming increase in water levels in 2013, causing flamingos to migrate to Lake Bogoria in search of food. In Maasai, the word “Nakuru” means “Dusty Place.” Lake Nakuru National Park was established in 1961, close to Nakuru town. It began small, encompassing only the famous lake and its surrounding mountainous surroundings, but has since grown to encompass a large portion of the savannahs.

Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill on full board.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve

AFRICAN SAFARI TOUR – Maasai Mara National Preserve KENYA

After breakfast, you will meet your guide and depart for Masai Mara, bringing your lunch boxes with you. After you’ve finished your afternoon Kenyan tea and coffee, head out for an exciting game viewing adventure. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in southwestern Kenya and spans 1,510 km2 (583 sq mi). It is the northernmost section of Tanzania’s and Kenya’s 25,000 km2 (9,700 sq mi) Mara-Serengeti ecosystem.

It is bounded to the south by the Serengeti National Park, to the west by the Siria escarpment, and to the north, east, and west by Maasai pastoral ranches. Rainfall in the ecosystem increases significantly along a southeast-northwest gradient, varies spatially and temporally, and is highly bimodal. Return to your lodge after the game drive.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive Masai Mara Game Reserve

Spend another day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Masai Mara has over 500 square miles of savannas, woodlands, and tree-fringed rivers, all of which are home to a diverse range of wildlife. Maasai Mara (Maasai Mara) is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves, located in southwest Kenya. Together with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, it forms one of Africa’s most diverse, incredible, and spectacular eco-systems, as well as possibly the world’s best safari big game viewing eco-system. The Trans Mara County Council (TMCC) was established in the western part of the reserve in 1994, and control was divided between the new council and the existing Narok County Council. The Mara Triangle was taken over by the non-profit Mara Conservancy in May 2001.
