A professional pilot pilots the hot air balloon, and the British company Cameron is the go-to for quality balloons in this industry. There is usually a maximum capacity of sixteen people per balloon, and sometimes even less if the basket is smaller, therefore it’s wise to make your reservation in advance if you want to go on a ride with one of these. Hot Air Balloon Safari Amboseli
Depending on your distance from the takeoff site, passengers are expected to be at their lodge or camp reception desks by 5 to 5:30 in the morning, so it’s clear that an early start is necessary. The flight usually takes off between 6.00 and 6.15 in the morning, and you will be picked up and transported to the takeoff site by road. As you soar into the air, you’ll pass over different sections of the Mara reserve. An hour after touchdown, you’ll be treated to a sumptuous sit-down breakfast with wait staff, a hearty hot meal cooked “in the bush,” and a glass of chilled sparkling wine or champagne to wash it all down. A short game drive will be included on the way back to your hotel after breakfast.

In order to ensure a prompt journey to the closest balloon ride takeoff spot, we kindly request that you inform us of your accommodation in Amboseli the night prior.
In extreme cases, such as when there is heavy rain or strong winds, the balloon may not be able to take off, which could lead to a cancellation. If a balloon is unable to take off, customers will receive a full refund minus a small administrative cost.
