Biking/Cycling Hell’s Gate National Park Kenya

I skidded to a halt, my bike dragging a path on the dusty road behind me. A zebra stood before me, its distance from the vast savannah grasses barely ten feet, and its eyes locked with mine. A combination of wonder, amazement, and excitement caused a knot to form in my chest, and I wanted to let out a squeal.

After a brief exchange of glances, he turned and swiftly disappeared just as suddenly as he had emerged. Riding a bike through Hell’s Gate National Park was an incredible experience, and this was only the beginning.

Everyone planning a trip to Kenya has probably heard of the Maasai Mara and its famous wildlife viewing opportunities, as well as the thrilling city of Nairobi. Nonetheless, I do have a novel suggestion: a bicycle-based gaming exploration of Hell’s Gate National Park. The park, which is located south of Lake Naivasha, is relatively tiny (26 square miles) compared to other parks in Kenya, yet it offers some of the country’s most memorable attractions.

Detailed instructions for pedalling through Hell’s Gate National Park are provided here.
