For good reason, Victoria Falls is called the “Adventure Capital of Africa.” The park offers a wide variety of exciting activities for visitors seeking excitement. Even if extreme activities like white water rafting, bridge swinging, and bungee jumping aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to do. Get a feel for the local wildlife on a game drive or nature walk, or soar over the Falls on a picturesque helicopter trip. Relax on a boat ride down the river, give catch-and-release fishing a go, or peruse the wares of regional artisans at a market.
There is no shortage of things to do, but before you burn out, unwind in the peaceful splendour of the Tongabezi Lodge, winner of numerous awards. Indulge in a refreshing dip in the pool, unwind on the observation deck, or enjoy a picnic on the island while taking in breathtaking views of the magnificent Zambezi River.
Day 4-6: Shawa Luangwa Camp, South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | 3 Nights
After your tour of Livingstone, a driver will take you back to the airport for your flight to South Luangwa National Park, where you may begin your safari. Upon your arrival at Mfuwe Airport, meet your guide. They will then drive you to Shawa Luangwa Camp, the site of an actual safari.
Situated on the verdant banks of the Luangwa River and strategically placed in the abundant Nsefu region of South Luangwa, this area offers unparalleled opportunities for wildlife viewing. Travelling on foot, in a game viewer vehicle, or by boat all give guests a different vantage point of the local flora and fauna. From game drive to lodge, you can continue to see wildlife as it enjoys the river’s refreshing waters and the many birds that nest on its banks.
Shawa Luangwa is where opulence and genuineness meet. Comfortably outfitted with all the modern conveniences, the tents are nestled in nature, seamlessly merging into their environment with a minuscule imprint. After a thrilling day touring this amazing location, unwind in style with an outdoor shower and a bathtub that overlooks the scenery.
