Uganda Safari Review 1
Uganda safari

My mother and I had the best trip of our lives thanks to Kabira Safaris and our guide Arshley Brian. Our guide arrived promptly on time with a warm welcoming smile that remained with us for the duration of our journey. Arshley is the most knowledgeable guide I’ve encountered amongst my numerous African safari experiences. His broad knowledge of the Ugandan wildlife with an unmatchable expertise of birds and trees enhanced our experience and appreciation for the beauty Uganda has to offer. His vast awareness of wildlife along with his dynamic personality kept us entertained and engaged while traveling between national parks and forests. Arshley has an exceptionally trained eye and was able to spot a leopard in a tree that most would need binoculars to see. He continually exposed us to many new species beyond what I expected to encounter. While getting to know Arshley, I learned of his many accolades in guiding, birding, and forestry. He is the reason our experience was both educational and enjoyable. Arshley is so easy to talk to that by day two he was not just our guide, but also a close friend. He is fun and happy and this made our experience extra special. He was continuously concerned about our comfort level and general well-being as was Sharon, our program planner from Kabira, who would often check-in to ensure we were having the best possible trip.
When deciding on our specific itinerary, Sharon always responded promptly and supportively. I had many questions and concerns as one does when planning an expensive overseas excursion. Sharon helped put me at ease by thoroughly walking me through each step of the process. She even took a midnight phone call from me when I needed last minute assistance with the payment process. It was such a wonderful surprise when she took the time to meet us on our final evening and presented us with a thank you gift.
Our favorite day was the Gorilla Habituation Experience where we spent four hours with a magnificent mountain gorilla family. Although the cost of the permit was quite pricey, it was well worth it to encounter these creatures so up close and personal. I have fallen in love with the country, its peoples, and all the land has to offer. When I come back, there’s no question that I will be using Kabira again. Read More

7-Day Uganda Safari
A 7-Day Uganda Safari provides the ultimate “Pearl of Africa” experience by combining classic savannah big-game viewing with world-class primate trekking. Because Uganda’s top highlights are spread across the country, a one-week itinerary requires a strategic route to maximize wildlife encounters while managing travel times.
10-Day Uganda Safari
A 10-day Uganda safari offers an immersive journey through the “Pearl of Africa,” taking you from savannah plains to lush primate-filled jungles. Itineraries typically include rhino tracking at Ziwa, Big 5 game drives in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls, chimpanzee trekking in Kibale, and mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park.

Great Tour company

I booked a 3 day Gorilla trek with a night at Bunyonyi then added on a 4th day 24 hrs before I wanted to leave. Not only did they accommodate me but created an unforgettable experience, adding a chimpanzee trek and a boat ride in Queen Elizabeth National park, allowing me to see elephants, hippos, Cape buffalo AND tree lions. My guide/driver Isaac was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about the attentiveness of the staff and the agenda. I will not hesitate to use them again. Read More
3-Day Gorilla Trekking Uganda
A 3-day gorilla trekking tour to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga involves a scenic 8-9 hour drive (or 1.5-hour flight) from Kampala/Entebbe, a full day trekking in the rainforest, and an intimate 1-hour observation of a habituated gorilla family. Permits cost $800 per person.
3-Day Gorilla Flying Safari
A 3-day luxury gorilla trekking safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park bypasses the grueling 10-hour drive by using a private chartered flight from Entebbe to the park’s airstrip. You will spend two nights in an exclusive lodge, secure a gorilla permit ($800), and spend one hour face-to-face with a mountain gorilla family.

10 day birding tour, exceeded expectations

Kabira safaris is an outstanding operator. Starting from initial communication about itinerary, pricing, to being flexible with dates, to providing a customized experience that fit my needs and communicating all the necessary information. My assigned guide Arshley Brian was an extremely knowledgeable birder and keen naturalist and a very welcoming person, happy to share his knowledge, and I learned quite a bit from his knowledge of birds, mammals, plants, the landscape and Ugandan culture. The variety and number of species we encountered on my relatively short trip was at least double what I had expected because of his knowledge and excellent eye. On my Ugand birding trip Kabira and my guide were extremely accommodating of my requests and interests, and when I go back to the region I’ll be sure to go through them again. Read More
Uganda Birding Safaris
Uganda is a world-class birding destination, boasting over 1,080 bird species in diverse habitats ranging from savannas and wetlands to dense rainforests. Key attractions include the prehistoric Shoebill, the iconic Crested Crane, and numerous Albertine Rift endemics. The best birding season is from June to September.
Short Uganda Birding Safaris
A short birding trip in Uganda packs a massive punch. With over 1,000 species, you can target iconic birds like the prehistoric Shoebill and the Great Blue Turaco on quick 3 to 5-day excursions. Top localized spots near Entebbe/Kampala offer incredible, condensed birding opportunities.
