When to visit
Uganda is accessible throughout the entire year. A significant portion of Uganda experiences an ideal tropical climate. Daytime temperatures average approximately 26°C, while nighttime temperatures average around 16°C. The optimal period for visitation typically spans from July to February. The warmest months occur between December and February. Humidity is elevated from March to May during the long rains, whereas the short rains occur from early October to mid-December.

Day 1-3: Kibale Forest, Uganda
This morning, you will commence your journey to Kibale by a private transfer, traversing intriguing towns and villages. In Kibale, you will get the opportunity to journey through the jungle in pursuit of its most renowned resident, the chimpanzee. Accompany your knowledgeable guide to traverse the woodland trails, remaining vigilant for the chimpanzee, bush pig, and forest elephant. Traverse Bigodi Swamp to observe diverse monkey species and the big blue turaco, along with numerous other avian species in this extensive wetland.
Day 3-5: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda
Travel from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park, directing your route towards the Ishasha region in the secluded southern portion of the park. This wooded area, drier than the northern section of the park, is inhabited by the remarkable tree-climbing lion. Here, you may experience a safari from the comfort of your private vehicle while observing elephants, buffalo, and, of course, the park’s lions. Additional activities offered comprise a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which hosts several hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and a remarkable variety of birdlife, alongside private bush breakfasts and dinners.
Day 5-8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
Following a concluding wildlife drive, proceed to the south-western region of Uganda, namely Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, renowned for its population of mountain gorillas. Bwindi is one of the rare locations globally where one can trek to observe the secretive mountain gorilla in its native environment, housing around fifty percent of the world’s population of this endangered species.
